The sponsor’s Founder and CEO, Mark Hamister started the Hamister Group in 1977 as National Health Care Affiliates (“NHCA”). Mr. Hamister grew NHCA to over 2,800 units, across five states when he decided to sell a majority of the portfolio in 1996. During this venture NHCA was named to the INC. 500 Fastest Growing Companies in America 5 consecutive times.
The Hamister Group further entrenched itself into the hospitality space when it began acquiring and operating hotels in 2004. The team found that the two asset classes were closely related and could create tremendous value for its shareholders by blending the assets through its best in class operations known as the “Hamister Advantage”.
